While on holiday, Dick Bruna told his eldest son stories based on a little white bunny, which ran around the garden of their home. This led to the inspiration and "birth" of Miffy. When Miffy was first designed, in the early years, she resembled a floppy eared fluffy toy. However, from 1963 and onward, Miffy became the bunny we all know and love today.

Being featured in over 30 books and quickly becoming Dick Bruna's most popular and loved character, Miffy attracted parents and children from all over the world and created a sense of safety within these homes. Miffy allows your little ones to identify and relate to Miffy through her adventures and stories, while inspiring them to be open to new adventures and experiences while maintaining a positive attitude
