About Chocoloons
Welcome to ChocoLoons Toy Shop!
Whilst been diagnosed in 2013 with a chronic illness and unable to work, I took up making crafts as a hobby to help give me that sense of purpose that I needed. Mike was a heating and plumbing engineer which he gave up to help look after me at home. I found something that I really enjoyed doing that I could try to adapt around my illness and so this quickly escalated into taking our products to school fairs and markets.
In October 2017, we decided to take the plunge and open our very own independent toy shop. No background history whatsoever in toys just a passion to create a child friendly space in our local town centre where we hope all children can find toys to enjoy and have fun by exploring and learning through play.
We specialise in key brands, developmental toys and sensory toys. Our ethos is to provide safe, quality products that encourage child development and playtime where parents and children can both enjoy spending time together.
We choose our ranges carefully and we are always sourcing new products that we believe the children will love and in turn increasing our range offered to our customers.
We believe our customers will receive an excellent customer service and a friendly welcome each and every time they visit our store. Providing a service that our customers need is at the heart of what we do.
We always remember where our journey began and as we loved it so much, we continue to take our Chocoloons pop up shop out and about to events covering the whole of N.Ireland as well as managing the shop and now launching our very own website.

One thing Mike says he has learnt along the way is never to order too much of the one product (you can tell which one of us is more business minded) but he also added “you can never get tired of seeing a child smile” (this is his softer side coming out).
I have learnt and hope to pass onto others and all the children I meet is to ‘never give up on your hopes and dreams no matter how hard it may seem, ‘YOU CAN DO IT’ you just need to believe in yourself. Some days its tough with my illness to keep going but if you find something that you love and are passionate about, you will fight to keep your dream alive.
We hope you love our shop and our new website as much as we do.
Love Mike & Teresa X
